GUIDANCE PRACTICES

Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia Preschool’s Psychological Counseling and Guidance Unit, with its expert team, aims to support the positive self-concept and personality development of our students, while also aiming to enhance and improve their social skills. Our guidance unit closely monitors the development of our children and works in collaboration with families with a preventive and supportive approach, ensuring necessary interventions and directions are made when needed.

ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION

In preschool education, the focus is on supporting various areas of development. To determine the level in each developmental area, observation-based assessment and evaluation are carried out at different times. Based on the results, the education is shaped, and lesson plans with activities are prepared to meet the students’ needs. Evaluations are presented to families through interim reports during the year and developmental reports in February and June. Moreover, the most valuable and important form of evaluation, portfolio presentations, are held twice a year. During our “Portfolio Interaction Days,” in which families actively participate, play environments are created for each developmental area. While playing with their children in the school environment, families also get the opportunity to directly observe and assess their child’s development.
